During the first five years of marriage, should the couple experience any hardships they are to open the box, drink the wine and read the letters to each other and be reminded of their love together. This is the perfect ritual to remind you of your wedding day and your intention to love and cherish each other in good times and bad for as long as you both shall live.

Alternatively, if they go through marriage and do not need to open the box, then they are to open it on their 5th wedding anniversary.
